OUR PRACTICE OF CRIMINAL AND FAMILY LAW TAKES US ALL OVER CANADA

Because the Criminal Code is a federal statute, and therefore applicable across the country, our lawyers are able to travel to other provinces and territories when our clients need us. The interpretation that each jurisdiction gives to that law, however, can be unique to a particular province or territory.

Shannon is already admitted to the bar of the Northwest Territories. However, because of a special mobility agreement among the provinces, as long as our lawyers do not practice more than a 100 days in another province, we can take cases in other jurisdictions without needing any special permissions or restricted certificates. This has allowed us to travel widely in the defence of our clients.
